Poundland Shutters More Stores Amid Retail Challenges

In a move that reflects the ongoing struggles faced by the discount retail sector, Poundland has announced the closure of an additional five stores in February, following the shuttering of eight locations in the second half of January. This latest round of store closures is part of the company’s broader restructuring efforts, which have seen more than 100 Poundland shops shut their doors since the middle of 2025.

The full list of Poundland branches set to close in February includes stores in Chichester, Feltham, Crayford, Nottingham (Chilwell), and Urmston. This
