In a dramatic turn of events, President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran, threatening to “obliterate” the country’s power facilities unless it promptly reopens the critical Strait of Hormuz within the next 48 hours. This ultimatum comes just a day after Trump hinted at a potential de-escalation of the ongoing conflict, raising concerns of a new surge in hostilities in a region already fraught with tension.
Iranian Military Response
Iran’s military swiftly reacted to Trump’s aggressive stance, declaring that it would target all U.S. infrastructure related to energy, information technology, and desalination should its own assets be attacked.
