In a heartwarming announcement, Vice President JD Vance, 41, and his wife Usha, 40, have revealed that the Second Lady is pregnant with their fourth child, a baby boy. The couple, who met at Yale Law School and married in 2014, already have three children – an 8-year-old son named Ewan, a 5-year-old son named Vivek, and a 4-year-old daughter Mirabel.

“We’re very excited to share the news that Usha is pregnant with our fourth child, a boy,” the Vances announced on Instagram on Tuesday. “Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him in late July.” The Vances also expressed their gratitude to the military doctors who “take excellent care of our family” and the staff members who “do so much to ensure that we can serve the country while enjoying a wonderful life with our children.”

The news of the Vances’ growing family comes just a month after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, 28, announced that she and her husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, are expecting a baby girl in May. The couple, who have a 32-year age gap, already have a son, Nicholas, nicknamed Niko, who was born in July 2024.

The White House has congratulated the Vances on their expanding family, with the administration describing itself as “the most pro-family in history.” Vice President Vance has previously shared insights into how he and his wife, who comes from a Hindu background, decided to raise their children as Christians after Vance himself converted to Catholicism.

As the Vances and other members of the Trump administration welcome new additions to their families, the American public will no doubt be eager to follow the journeys of these growing families and the roles they play in the nation’s political landscape.
