The six children—Rakhi (class 4), Shraddha (class 7), Shravani (class 5), Shrishti (class 8), Shreyas (class 5), and Samruddhi (class 1)—were all returning from what should have been a joyous celebration.
The well, measuring 40 feet in depth, was situated at the end of a recently developed concrete road. This area has transitioned from agricultural land to a residential zone over the past two decades. Local residents have voiced concerns regarding the well’s hazardous status, citing previous incidents where animals and motorbike riders fell in. Unfortunately, despite these warnings, no formal actions were taken to secure the well.
