Grooming Through Gaming: A Cautionary Tale
Tritta first connected with the girl in September 2024, initiating contact through Roblox. Their conversations quickly moved to platforms such as Snapchat, Discord, and WhatsApp, where he engaged in “highly sexualised” discussions and shared explicit images. The situation came to light in August 2025 when the victim’s mother discovered inappropriate messages and images on her daughter’s phone.
Once alerted, the police swiftly intervened, but Tritta did not desist. In a blatant violation of his bail conditions, he attempted to visit the girl’s home, further attempting to coerce her into dropping the case. In court, prosecutor Rachel Yarwood detailed how Tritta had walked into the complainant’s house uninvited and confronted her, despite her explicit requests for him to leave.
Escalating Threats and Intimidation
Tritta’s actions grew increasingly menacing. He sent the victim letters, attempted to communicate via phone, and made efforts to undermine the ongoing investigation. Following a previous encounter with law enforcement, he was initially handed a 12-month suspended sentence for perverting the course of justice.
