Voyager 1 Faces Power Challenges: NASA Proposes Innovative Solutions to Extend its Journey

NASA is racing against time as its iconic interstellar probe, Voyager 1, experiences a critical power drop. The disabled instrument, known as the Low-energy Charged Particles (LECP) experiment, has been a stalwart of the mission, continuously collecting data on low-energy charged particles, such as cosmic rays, for nearly half a century. Its findings have been invaluable, providing insights into the interstellar medium and revealing the complexities of the space beyond our heliosphere.
