A disturbing incident in Slough, Berkshire has left the community shaken. According to court proceedings, a 51-year-old man named Sajid Hussain approached three children – aged 6, 7, and 13 – who were playing outside their home. Hussain proceeded to hug, kiss, and push the children before attempting to abduct the 6-year-old girl.

Recorder Louis Weston, presiding over the case at Reading Crown Court, described the situation as “gravely concerning.” Weston stated that Hussain, who was under the influence of drugs at the time, had a “very lengthy record” of previous offences, including drug-related crimes, breaching a restraining order, and a burglary conviction in 2024.

The court heard that Hussain, who was on licence when the incident occurred, had been developing delusions of grandeur in the months leading up to the offence. He believed he was chosen by God and was communicating with the divine.

Prosecutors argued that a further psychiatric evaluation may be necessary, as Hussain could potentially be made subject to a hospital order. The case has been adjourned until March 5th.

This horrific attack on innocent children has left the community in shock. The authorities are working to ensure the safety of the victims and to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding this disturbing incident.
