He claims that at least 18 others who were also sent back to France have similarly returned to the UK, evading authorities and navigating a perilous existence.
The Desperate Journey Back
The asylum seeker, whose identity has been withheld for his safety, recounted his traumatic experiences after being forcibly sent back to France by the Home Office. He explained that upon his return, he was targeted by human smugglers who demanded his cooperation. “They beat me so badly that my face is still full of bruises and injuries,” he stated, highlighting the violent coercion he faced. Afraid for his life, he felt compelled to escape and return to the UK, which he perceives as a place of safety despite the risks of being discovered.
