In a devastating series of attacks, Russia has unleashed a significant barrage on Ukrainian cities, resulting in at least nine fatalities and dozens more injured. The assault, which commenced in the early hours of Tuesday, has particularly affected Dnipro and Kyiv, where local authorities are grappling with the aftermath of strikes that have left buildings in ruins and residents in peril.
Casualties and Damage Reported
The city of Dnipro bore the brunt of the assault, with five individuals confirmed dead and over 25 injured. In the capital, Kyiv, four lives were lost, and approximately 51 people sustained injuries, with 35 requiring hospitalisation. Mayor Vitali Klitschko disclosed that two high-rise apartments were hit, raising concerns that residents might be trapped under the debris. Authorities have urged citizens to seek shelter as air raid alerts sounded across vast areas of Ukraine.
