In a significant escalation of military confrontations, the United States has conducted retaliatory strikes against Iranian targets in the Strait of Hormuz following a series of missile and drone attacks by Iran. The US Central Command (Centcom) confirmed that these operations were a response to Iran’s aggressive actions in the region, which included missile attacks aimed at Kuwait and Bahrain, resulting in casualties and damage to infrastructure.

The US military targeted an Iranian military ground control station on Qeshm Island during overnight operations, describing the strikes as measures of self-defence against Iran’s attempts to disrupt maritime security.
