Just one day prior to the unfortunate event, Ava was joyfully celebrating her third birthday surrounded by family and friends at her father’s business in the Montreal area. However, the festive atmosphere turned dire on May 31 when strong winds, gusting up to 50 kilometres per hour, lifted the inflatable bouncy castle she was playing in high into the air. Witnesses described how the structure soared dozens of feet before crashing back down, leading to a chaotic scene at the community event.
The aftermath was devastating; eleven individuals sustained injuries, with six needing hospitalisation, including two children.
