The alarming discovery of bacteria-laden water being flushed into Cheyenne’s sewage system occurred in February, during routine checks on wastewater discharged from the cooling systems of the expansive datacentre, located in the High Plains Business Park. The contractor responsible, Goat Systems LLC, has since been identified, and the city has permanently rescinded Meta’s permission to discharge wastewater into its treatment facilities.
