Recent advancements in forecasting marine heatwaves have improved our ability to predict these events three to four months in advance in regions such as Australia and the United States. Such predictive capabilities empower marine authorities to implement proactive measures, such as reducing fishery catches and initiating conservation efforts for at-risk species, thus mitigating the impact of these extreme changes.
