The Toronto Raptors have announced a pause on their proposed trade for star player Kawhi Leonard, following the NBA’s warning about potential risks associated with its ongoing investigation into the Los Angeles Clippers. The deal, which was set to send Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks, a 2027 pick swap, and two second-round selections to the Clippers, will remain on hold until clarity is provided regarding the investigation’s outcome.

The NBA initiated its investigation in September after allegations surfaced regarding Leonard’s endorsement deal with Aspiration, a financial technology company focused on environmental sustainability.
