His daughter, Melanie Villeneuve, expressed her enthusiasm for the exhibit, remarking, “While there are displays that feature my father, they often focus on Ferraris and other Formula One artefacts. This exhibition highlights his early days in Formula Atlantic, showcasing the suits and helmets he wore, which are pivotal in understanding his evolution as a driver.”
Earlier this year, Gilles Villeneuve was officially recognised as a historic figure by the Quebec government, acknowledging not just his track achievements but also the enduring influence he has had on the province’s sporting heritage.
