Nigel Farage would be defeated in a straight contest against every other major party leader except one, according to fresh polling that raises serious questions about Reform UK’s electoral prospects. The survey, conducted by More in Common and published on Friday, suggests the Reform UK chief would lose to Labour’s Andy Burnham, the Conservatives’ Kemi Badenoch, the Liberal Democrats’ Ed Davey and even Rupert Lowe of Restore Britain. Only Green Party leader Zack Polanski fares worse against the Brexit figure in a direct matchup.
It is a striking reversal for a politician who has long positioned himself as a potent force on the right of British politics.
