Gus Lamont vanished while playing outside his home at Oak Park Station near Yunta, a remote area in South Australia. His grandmother stepped away for approximately half an hour, and upon her return, Gus was nowhere to be found. The South Australia Police (SAPOL) announced that on 2 February 2026, investigators from Task Force Horizon conducted searches around Oak Park Station, seeking any potential evidence related to Gus’s disappearance. Supervising the investigation, Fielke expressed the team’s commitment to uncovering the truth: “Despite all of the combined search efforts, we have found no evidence physical or otherwise to suggest that Gus has merely wandered off from the Oak Park homestead.”
