For several years, he experienced persistent acid reflux and indigestion, which doctors attributed to minor digestive issues, recommending over-the-counter indigestion tablets. Together, they embarked on a 100km charity walk along the Camino de Santiago, a route Andrzej had traversed twice, scattering his ashes in a gesture of love and remembrance.
Both daughters are resolute in their message: pancreatic cancer remains one of the most lethal forms of the disease, with over half of patients dying within three months of diagnosis. A staggering 80% of cases are detected only after the cancer has metastasised, rendering effective treatment nearly impossible. “This cancer isn’t discussed nearly enough,” Emilia stated, her passion evident.
