The Additive Manufacturer Green Trade Association (AMGTA) has welcomed EOS, a leading provider of industrial 3D printing solutions, as its newest Principal Member. As part of this expanded partnership, Björn Hannappel, Head of Sustainability at EOS, has been appointed to the AMGTA’s Board of Directors.

The AMGTA, a global non-profit organisation founded in 2020 to promote the environmental benefits of additive manufacturing, has seen EOS deepen its commitment to the association through this Principal Membership. Principal Members play a crucial role in shaping the AMGTA’s strategic direction and sustainability initiatives within the additive manufacturing industry.

“We are thrilled to welcome EOS as a Principal Member of the AMGTA,” said Sherry Handel, the AMGTA’s Executive Director. “EOS has been a longstanding supporter of our mission, and we look forward to working closely with Björn and the rest of the EOS team to further advance sustainable practices in additive manufacturing.”

Björn Hannappel, who will now serve on the AMGTA’s Board of Directors, expressed his enthusiasm for the new role. “EOS is deeply committed to driving sustainability in the additive manufacturing sector, and we are honoured to take on this expanded leadership position within the AMGTA,” he said. “I look forward to collaborating with the Board and the wider AMGTA community to develop and promote environmentally-responsible manufacturing solutions.”

The AMGTA’s Principal Membership is reserved for organisations that demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability and a willingness to invest resources in advancing the association’s goals. As a Principal Member, EOS will have a significant voice in shaping the AMGTA’s research agenda, educational initiatives, and advocacy efforts.

The AMGTA’s mission is to educate the global manufacturing community about the environmental benefits of additive manufacturing, as well as to facilitate research that quantifies these advantages. With EOS’s expertise in sustainable 3D printing technologies, the association is poised to make significant strides in this area.
