Louis Kuye, a 21-year-old from London, stumbled upon the postcard featuring Paul McCartney while on a quest inspired by a billboard at LIPA, which encouraged students to search for these hidden treasures. With 80 postcards concealed around the campus, excitement and competition filled the air as students raced to uncover these collectibles.
“I arrived and saw the billboard urging us to look for the postcards, and from that moment, I was on a mission,” Louis recounted, explaining how he found his prize in the library. The card not only features a striking image of Paul Mescal portraying McCartney, but it also bears a unique serial number, a detail Louis found particularly thrilling. “It’s just a blank postcard, but it’s numbered. There are 1,000 in total, and I have 63.”

As graduation approaches, Louis is eagerly anticipating his moment with Sir Paul McCartney, who greets every LIPA graduate—a rite of passage for students at the institution founded in partnership with the Beatles’ legendary member. “I’ve spent my three years here trying to figure out what to say when I meet him,” he shared. “Now, with this postcard, I think I finally have a plan.”
