Raybould detailed the events surrounding the January 10 incident, where three music industry professionals were lured to Dallas for a meeting regarding a recording contract orchestrated by Williams Jr. Once inside the studio, they were reportedly ambushed. “As alleged, Williams Jr. and eight co-conspirators executed a coordinated armed takeover,” Raybould stated. “Williams Jr. brandished an AK-style weapon and coerced one victim into signing a release from the contract at gunpoint.” The remaining suspects were accused of stealing watches, jewellery, cash, and other valuables from the victims.

He spent three years in federal prison after pleading guilty to firearm and drug charges in April 2022, receiving a sentence of 63 months that was reduced for good behaviour. He was released in October 2025. Following his release, Williams Jr. transitioned to a residential reentry facility in Dallas, where he was expected to stay until April 11, 2026.
