According to a police statement, the gang is accused of various heinous crimes, including organised paedophilia, pimping, the rape of minors under 15, sodomy, and the intentional transmission of HIV/AIDS. Disturbingly, reports indicate that the group coerced boys into having unprotected sexual relations with men, many of whom were HIV-positive, and recorded these acts.
Four members of this group reportedly operated under the directives of a French national who was arrested in France in April 2025. This collaboration highlights the extensive network that the gang maintained, relying on financial transactions from abroad to facilitate their criminal activities.
Coordinated Police Operations
On Friday, the suspects were presented to a judge following coordinated police operations in several districts of Dakar and the city of Kaolack, situated approximately 200 kilometres southeast of the capital.
