Men are being cautioned against the dangers of purchasing unregulated erectile dysfunction (ED) tablets online, following a staggering seizure of 20 million counterfeit pills over the past five years. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has highlighted how the stigma surrounding ED is being manipulated by criminals, putting countless individuals at risk of serious health complications.

The MHRA’s recent report reveals that nearly 19.5 million doses of fake ED medications were confiscated between 2021 and 2025, with an alarming 4.4 million of those seized just last year. Andy Morling, head of the MHRA’s criminal enforcement unit, expressed grave concerns about the situation. “Stigma and embarrassment are being exploited by criminals selling fake medicines that can seriously harm your health,” he stated.
