A devastating incident in Los Angeles has claimed the lives of three individuals and left several others injured after a car veered off course and crashed into a grocery store. The event, which unfolded on Thursday afternoon, has left the Westwood community in shock and raised questions about road safety and vehicle control.

Incident Overview

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported the crash shortly after midday, around 12:11 p.m., at the 99 Ranch Market located at the intersection of Rochester Avenue and Westwood Boulevard. According to official statements, the vehicle, a Toyota Prius, first struck a cyclist before careening into the store’s bakery section, resulting in chaos and devastation.

Among the victims were a 42-year-old woman, a 55-year-old man, and a 30-year-old man, all of whom were pronounced dead at the scene. While six additional individuals sustained injuries, four were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment—two in serious condition and two with minor injuries. Remarkably, two others opted against medical assistance despite the severity of the situation.
