Troubled History of Doomed Air India Flight Revealed

In a shocking revelation, aviation safety campaigners in the United States claim to have uncovered evidence that the ill-fated Air India flight which crashed last year had a long history of technical issues, including an in-flight fire.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, registered as VT-ANB, was one of the earliest models of the aircraft to be built. It first entered service with Air India in 2014, but documents obtained by the Foundation for Aviation Safety (FAS) allege that the plane experienced a “wide and confusing variety of engineering, manufacturing, quality, and maintenance problems” from the very beginning.

These failures reportedly included electronic and software faults, repeated circuit breaker trips, wiring damage, short circuits, power system component overheating, and even a fire in the P100 power distribution panel in January 2022. The damage from this incident was so severe that the entire panel had to be replaced.
