The affected product, which carries a “best by” date of July 17, 2026, and the package code INIA0120, was distributed widely throughout the United States, with the exception of Alaska. Each package contains two containers of the fruit puree, typically priced around £1.50 ($1.99). The FDA’s official notice, released on Friday, urged consumers to dispose of any affected items.
According to the FDA, the recall stems from findings in the Total Diet Study, which detected patulin levels exceeding the acceptable limits for such food products. The agency stated, “Long-term exposure to patulin can lead to various adverse health consequences, including immune suppression, nerve damage, headaches, fever, and nausea.”

This batch of baby food was sold in grocery stores nationwide, extending to U.S. territories such as Guam and Puerto Rico.
