Jessie Adcock, the lead of Vancouver’s host committee for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, expressed her ambition for the fan festival to be the premier destination for viewing the games in British Columbia. Attendees can expect free entry to a vibrant festival atmosphere that encapsulates the spirit of the World Cup.
Festival Details at Hastings Park
Located at the PNE grounds in Hastings Park, the fan zone will feature multiple large screens, a variety of food and drink vendors, and family-friendly events. Adcock noted that the event will utilise the entire PNE site, excluding Playland, and will be the inaugural large festival to harness the potential of the new Freedom Mobile Arch Amphitheatre.
“This venue will be transformed from its current state, with all parking lots and buildings coming to life, creating a fully animated experience for visitors,” she remarked, highlighting the extensive preparations underway to ensure an engaging environment.
Premium Experiences and Accessibility
The Freedom Mobile Arch Amphitheatre will serve as a focal point for premium ticket holders, offering an array of enhanced experiences. Adcock stated that the venue will provide opportunities for group hosting, exclusive food and drink options, and reserved seating. While ticket pricing has yet to be disclosed, she reaffirmed the festival’s commitment to inclusivity, ensuring free general admission to the fan zone.
“The aim of the fan festival is to make it accessible, family-friendly, and affordable,” Adcock explained. She recognised the high demand for match tickets across all 16 host cities and reiterated the festival’s goal of creating a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy the games.
