In a bold move to tap into the thriving pub market, Various Eateries has announced its rebranding to the Coppa Collective. This strategic shift comes alongside a significant acquisition of four pubs from Grosvenor Pubs and Inns, marking a new chapter in the company’s journey. The transformation is set to be completed by 23 March, when the initial deal is expected to close.

Founded by industry veteran Hugh Osmond, Various Eateries has made a name for itself with popular venues like Coppa Club and Noci. The rebranding to Coppa Collective reflects the group’s ambition to expand its footprint beyond its current restaurant-centric model. The acquisition includes four charming pubs: Wild Thyme & Honey in the picturesque Cotswolds, The Hare & Hounds in Berkshire, The Stag on the River in Surrey, and The Wellington Arms in Hampshire.
In addition, the company has secured terms to potentially acquire The Queen’s Head, also located in Surrey. However, this particular venue is subject to an “asset of community value” process, which may delay the sale due to necessary statutory notifications and a moratorium period that could last up to six weeks.

The deal, valued at £11.25 million, underscores the group’s commitment to premium offerings. According to Mark Loughborough, CEO of Various Eateries, the acquisition represents a crucial step in the evolution of the business. “The Linwood Collection,” a new brand within the Coppa Collective, will cater to a growing demand for premium pubs that combine dining with accommodation, offering a destination experience for patrons. Loughborough noted that the blend of food and drink with lodging presents a unique appeal in today’s market.
