In an extraordinary archaeological breakthrough, researchers have uncovered an ancient structure near Bulford, just three miles from the iconic Stonehenge, which dates back approximately 5,000 years—predating its more famous counterpart by half a millennium. The remnants of this simpler monument consist of two post holes believed to have once held wooden pillars, strategically aligned with the movements of the sun during the summer and winter solstices, illuminating the spiritual and astronomical practices of early Britons.
