On the evening of May 17, 2025, officers from the OPP’s Russell County detachment received a report regarding a body found in the Ottawa River, close to Dallaire Street. An autopsy later confirmed that the body belonged to Robert Prevost, a 63-year-old resident of Clarence-Rockland, who had been reported missing since early March 2025.
