In a bold move to entice diners back into their restaurants, Chipotle has launched a limited-time happy hour promotion featuring tacos at a remarkably reduced price. From now until June 2, taco enthusiasts in select cities across the United States can indulge in a single taco with any protein for just $2.50, a tempting offer that could redefine midweek snacking for many.

This enticing deal is available on weekdays from 2 to 5 p.m. at select locations in Orlando and Tampa, Florida, and Kansas City, Missouri, and Kansas. Typically priced between $3.50 and $4.80 depending on the chosen protein and location, this happy hour special presents a significant discount that’s hard to resist. However, diners should note that add-ons, including guacamole and queso blanco, will incur additional charges.
Chipotle’s latest initiative is part of its “Power Up at Chipotle” campaign, which aims to provide customers with an opportunity to snack on wholesome ingredients rather than processed foods.
A Fresh Approach to Snacking
“Our goal is to adapt to the evolving preferences of our guests, particularly as they seek out healthier snack options,” stated Stephanie Perdue, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing at Chipotle. “While many snacks are laden with artificial ingredients, we pride ourselves on offering real food without cutting corners. Power Up at Chipotle makes it simple for customers to grab something tasty and nutritious, whether they’re heading to sports practice, between classes, or meeting friends.”

This happy hour initiative follows a recent revamp of Chipotle’s rewards programme, which was designed to enhance customer engagement. Launched in April, the new programme promises more frequent rewards and greater flexibility for its 21 million members. Notably, loyalty points will no longer expire as long as customers make at least one qualifying purchase of five dollars each year. The updated system also reduces the number of points needed for reward redemptions, introducing exciting options such as a 50% discount on a single meal.
Innovations in Delivery
In addition to its new promotions, Chipotle is also expanding its delivery capabilities. The fast-food giant has made strides in its Zipline drone delivery service, recently launching in North Fort Worth, Texas. Residents within a three-mile radius of the 7400 block of North Beach Street can now get their meals delivered by drone, a service that was first introduced in August 2025. Initially limited to orders weighing up to five and a half pounds, Chipotle plans to increase that capacity to eight pounds as the technology advances. Customers can expect to pay a fee of $2.99 for delivery, plus a capped service fee of 15%.
