The Canadiens have agreed to retain 50% of Gallagher’s contract, which carries a cap hit of US$6.5 million, making the financial aspect of the trade more manageable for the Canucks.
A Homecoming to the West Coast
Gallagher’s move to Vancouver not only reunites him with the Canucks but also brings him back to his hometown of Tsawwassen, British Columbia.
