Captain Marie-Hélène Poulin, who oversees the SQ’s Economic Crimes and Cybercrime Investigation unit, revealed the extensive capabilities of the counterfeit laboratory. Authorities indicated that it was capable of producing a wide array of forged documents, including complete passports from Canada, France, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Italy, as well as driver’s licences from various Canadian provinces—Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Alberta, and Saskatchewan—and even from Florida. Additionally, the lab produced firearms acquisition permits and Quebec health insurance cards.

Following their arrest, they were released on bail but now face serious charges, including forgery, possession or trafficking of counterfeit documents, and money laundering.
