The new toy line was unveiled at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg, Germany, on Monday. Mattel plans to roll out the merchandise this summer, approximately one year after the film’s release, as they aim to harness its ongoing popularity. Roberto Stanichi, Mattel’s chief global brand officer, expressed optimism about the franchise’s future. “We truly believe that this brand and this franchise has evergreen potential,” he remarked, hinting at an array of collections that will be introduced throughout the year.

The company has over 14 films in development, including a live-action adaptation of “Masters of the Universe” set to launch in June. Industry insiders suggest that a sequel to “KPop Demon Hunters” may be in the works, potentially hitting screens in 2029. Filippo Zuffada, senior director of consumer products at Netflix, indicated the importance of merchandise in extending the life of such intellectual properties. “We have ambitious plans for the franchise, but I’m not able to share them yet,” he stated.
A Diverse Product Offering
The new line features dolls inspired by the film’s main characters—Rumi, Zoey, and Mira—who embody the dual roles of girl band members and demon hunters. Each doll will be available in two distinct styles, including options that sing the film’s Billboard No. 1 hit, “Golden.” Additional characters from the series, including members of the rival boy band Saja Boys, will also be included across various Mattel brands such as Polly Pocket, UNO, and Little People Collector.
Pricing for the dolls is expected to range from approximately £30 to £37, while Polly Pocket capsules, featuring the band’s favourite ramen cups, will retail for around £6. Some products may not be available until autumn, adding to the anticipation among fans.
