However, revelations from recently released Justice Department files indicate that Lutnick engaged with Epstein on multiple occasions beyond 2005. Notably, he attended a gathering at Epstein’s residence in 2011 and, in 2012, enjoyed a lunch with Epstein on his private island, four years after Epstein had been sentenced to a mere 13 months in prison for procuring a minor for prostitution.

In his testimony before the Senate Appropriations Committee on 10 February, Lutnick acknowledged the 2012 lunch, justifying it by stating, “I did have lunch with him, as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation.” Despite this admission, Lutnick maintained that he had “barely had anything to do” with Epstein.
