Prof Andrew Fisher, a consultant transplant physician and member of the British Transplantation Society, called for robust evidence to demonstrate the machine’s impact on lung transplant activity. “It’s essential that we support timely access to transplants for patients desperately waiting for suitable organs,” he remarked.
