The set comprises eight stamps that showcase iconic models, including the Gloster Meteor F1, the Royal Air Force’s inaugural jet fighter, and the contemporary Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II. This initiative not only honours the legacy of these aircraft but also coincides with significant anniversaries in 2026 related to British aviation.

The newly released stamp set features eight notable jet aircraft that have played crucial roles in various conflicts, ranging from the Second World War to modern military engagements in the Falklands, Gulf, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Alongside the Gloster Meteor F1 and the F-35B, the collection includes the Avro Vulcan B2, Gloster Javelin FAW9, Hawker Siddeley Hawk T1, Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer S2B, De Havilland Vampire FB5, and the Panavia Tornado GR4.
