Earlier this month, FIFA unveiled that Canadian pop star Justin Bieber will headline the inaugural halftime show during the World Cup final. Joining him will be an illustrious cast, including the likes of Madonna, Shakira, and the globally acclaimed boy band BTS. The halftime show will also feature Nigerian artist Burna Boy, along with Gustavo Dudamel, the celebrated Venezuelan conductor, and the PS 22 Chorus, which has previously collaborated with Coldplay. “When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education. We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira, and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund,” remarked FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

The show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, aiming to raise an impressive US$100 million to provide children with access to education and football opportunities. Infantino highlighted the initiative’s significance, stating, “Through this initiative, US$1 from every FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket sold will go directly towards helping young people learn, grow, and play. Every child should have the opportunity to dream, and together we can help make that possible.”
Shakira, who has a storied history with the World Cup, will also be involved, having performed at the 2010 opening ceremony in South Africa. She recently released the official song for this year’s tournament, featuring Burna Boy. The closing ceremony will begin 90 minutes before the match, set for 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
