Surrey Police have initiated an investigation into two distinct allegations of historical child sexual abuse, prompted by the recent release of documents associated with the late Jeffrey Epstein. The allegations, which date back several decades, involve incidents reported to have occurred in Surrey and Berkshire from the mid-1980s to the early 2000s. No arrests have been made at this stage.

The investigation was catalysed by the release of over 3.5 million pages of files by the US Department of Justice concerning Epstein, who was awaiting trial for sex trafficking when he died in a New York prison in August 2019.
