The first victim was found on the street near the intersection of St. Clair Avenue West and Arlington Avenue, while the second succumbed to injuries in hospital. The Toronto Police Service (TPS) initially reported an active shooter scenario; however, Deputy Chief Frank Barredo later clarified that there was no ongoing threat to the community.
