The Bhadohi district was among the most severely affected, with at least 16 fatalities reported. Local police confirmed that six additional individuals were injured, some critically. Savitri Devi, a villager, shared her harrowing experience of narrowly escaping as her mud house succumbed to the wind. “We rushed outside when the walls started shaking. Our roof collapsed moments later,” she recounted.

In Fatehpur, nine fatalities were recorded, with many victims suffering injuries from collapsing structures. Additional District Magistrate Avinash Tripathi noted that the casualties included five women and a young girl who lost her life when a wall fell. In Budaun, five individuals were confirmed dead, including two young girls, who tragically died when a mud wall collapsed on them.

The storm also claimed lives in other districts, with reports of individuals perishing under fallen trees and collapsing buildings. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed district officials to expedite relief operations and has promised compensation for those affected. He emphasised that any negligence in the response would not be tolerated.
