In a shocking incident that has left a family in turmoil, a 25-year-old man is battling for his life after being allegedly stabbed in the head with a screwdriver while working on a building site in Purton, near Swindon. Denys appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on Saturday and has been remanded in custody. He is scheduled to face Swindon Crown Court on 21 August. A second man, also 36, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but has since been released on bail.
