This operation, dubbed Project Redline, initiated in November 2025, focused on drug-related activities in Cornwall, Ontario, and Montreal. Authorities revealed that the investigation uncovered four distinct criminal organisations involved in the distribution of fentanyl, cocaine, and counterfeit prescription medications.

The OPP disclosed that their extensive investigation employed a variety of techniques to identify and monitor these criminal enterprises. Among the networks, one was found to be trafficking fentanyl, while two others were engaged in the distribution of cocaine. A fourth network was discovered to be involved with both counterfeit prescription medications and cocaine.
Remarkably, the investigation traced one of these networks back to a person currently serving time in a correctional facility in the Montreal area, highlighting the complexities of drug operations that often extend beyond prison walls.
